Today, nearly 500,000 American children are in foster care because their own families are in crisis and unable to provide for their essential well-being.  Children in foster care require safe, stable, and nurturing environments to live until they can either safely reunite with their parents or establish other life-long family relationships.

Being Beautiful Foundation was formed by Valerie Crabbe.  Valerie is a mother of three who spent most of her adult life sacrificing for her own biological children.  After successfully raising her children, Valerie opened her home to take in other children who were less fortunate providing a safe, stable and nurturing environment for them to grow, learn and develop.  Over the past 15 years, Valerie and her husband filled their own home to capacity fostering many children and adopting two of them as their own.

Today, Being Beautiful Foundation is a Pennsylvania state licensed residential housing program with three homes located in Montgomery County that house up to 26 teenage youth girls.  Through patience, love and care, Being Beautiful Foundations’ housing program has been able to successfully transform the lives of hundreds of youth in care.
